One is frequently asked what makes a school different from others. Chelsea I do believe has established itself as a leading school in Durban North because of the experienced and stable staff we have been able to attract.

LETTER FROM MRS ALSTON, DEPUTY PRINCIPAL SENIOR PRIMARY
Chelsea was founded 78 years ago and was the very first school in Durban North. The impressive mosaic mural above our hall remains at the heart of what we do and our special Chelsea ethos, friendly family community, and beautiful buildings help to make for a secure and happy atmosphere where our pupils are valued and celebrate learning. Academic excellence is our primary objective at Chelsea. Standards are high and the atmosphere in the classroom is demanding and progressive. Our curriculum is structured to provide balance and extend learning well beyond national standards. While academic achievement is a high priority, success is also celebrated in other fields via music, drama, art and sport. We offer an exceptional programme of exciting extracurricular activities. - Penny Alston
